lyrics
I’m watching myself
I’m watching myself
Through a screen
Can you see me?
I’m watching the world
I’m watching the world
Through a screen
Can they see me?
A hand that tightly grips your wrist
You still don’t feel like you exist
Do anything to get inspired
But everything makes you tired
Watching myself shrink
Watching myself shrink
Through a screen
Can you see me?
Watching them live free
Watching them live free
Through a screen
Can they see me?
I’m wiping down this foggy mirror
The image is not getting any clearer
I’m trying to communicate
My messages are reaching you too late
I’m watching myself
I’m watching myself
Through a screen
Can you see me?
I’m watching the world
I’m watching the world
Through a screen
Can they see me?
Can you see?
Can they see me?
Can you see?
Can they see me?

I think it's difficult to write songs about something other than romantic love, and still be able to communicate the intensity with which those feelings can hit a person. Some of the entries on this album are fantastic examples of this niche. dani_bloop
I saw Indigo live, it was a beautiful and very awesome experience. This album is very comforting for me and I love singing along. Glad this album exists. b1rbbbbb
Soothing guitar tones and perfect indie pop melodies with atmospheric female vocals. A dreamy offering from the Houston up-and-comers. Bandcamp New & Notable Feb 17, 2017
I remember seeing everyone freak out on twitter when this was announced. I had literally zero idea what Mitski's music even was like apart from bits of Nobody & Washing Machine Heart, so when it came out I had no idea what to expect.
I think that deciding to listen to this album was one of the best decisions I've ever made. Every single song is a standout track to me, which I don't say lightly. It also led me to listen to the rest of her discography, which I haven't regretted in the slightest. praisedrays
